Nikos' Stone Villas - Vamos

The complete project involves building four semi-detached stone homes (two-buildings) and extending the family home with a self-contained modern concrete frame extension in keeping with the existing building.

The stone villas

The two stone villas (4 houses) are traditionally built from the foundations up. The thickness of the walls starts at 80cm for the foundations, reducing to 50cm thickness for the exterior walls and 40cm for internal walls. The local Cretan stone is hand cut by our stone masons. The corner stones are reclaimed from older buildings undergoing redevelopment. The mantels above windows and doors are either wood or stone.
